Service Integration and Workflow Management
Service Integration
The UFIS® portfolio of airport software solutions is build on a service oriented architecture (SOA) with proven, commercially available, middleware, such as IBM WebSphere, Tibco, Oracle Fusion Middleware, etc., and is designed to seamlessly integrate into existing as well as into newly deployed IT-infrastructures.
UFIS-AS's approach to service integration enables the airport community to respond more quickly and cost-effectively to the ever changing market conditions by promoting reuse and interconnection of existing IT assets rather than more time consuming and costly reinvention.
By embracing the SOA approach, UFIS® modules interact through well-defined, highly interoperable and transparent interfaces with other enterprise application systems. This approach greatly decreases integration costs and allows for much more dynamic solutions to be deployed.
UFIS® service integration provides the business mapping tools to ensure that the services created properly represent the airport business model by integrating, orchestrating, securing, managing, and monitoring all business processes and transactions.
The goal is to provide a modular & interoperable system that is fully integrated in heterogeneous environments, and fully complies with agreed service levels, is continuously available, and maintains comprehensive security & compliance levels.
Work Flow Management
The UFIS® suite of software applications provides powerful tools for efficient management of all workflows related to the aircraft turn-round process from approach to departure and all related business processes for single airports as well as for multiple airports and airport networks.
The UFIS® system architecture comprises of a centralized data base and business rule engine together with software application modules that contain all information and algorithms for seamless planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and reporting processes for collaborative airport management.
UFIS® comes with a rich graphical user interface (GUI) that provides close to real-time information together with additional information (e.g. checklists, alerts, contacts etc.) to support full work-flow management, exception and incident handling and decision making support.
All modules support centralized access and security management as well as IT-management functions and comply with regulatory tracing and auditing requirements.
