Success Stories
Bangalore International Airport
As the new Bangalore International Airport was making its final preparation for opening, it needed a function on its website to provide passengers with up-to-date flight information. So the airport turned to two of its trusted partners -- UFIS Airport Solutions (UFIS-AS) and Oracle -- for a solution. Working together, the two provided a web portal, just in time for the airport's opening in May 2008.
Hyderabad International Airport
When the new Rajiv Gandhi International Airport opened at Shamsabad in Hyderabad in March 2008 with UFISŪ running, it was the first of several successes for UFIS Airport Solutions (UFIS-AS) in India. The first green-field airport built in India with public-private partnership began operations in March with UFISŪ products playing a key role in its flight planning, apron resource management, and flight information display.
Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore
When the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), in conjunction with Siemens Business Solutions (SBS) awarded UFIS Airport Solutions (UFIS-AS) a contract to provide a flight management system for Changi Airport, UFIS-AS used it as a springboard to develop and install a new release of its production line -- UFISŪ 4.6.
Singapore Airport Terminal Services
At Changi Airport, Singapore, Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) is the leading provider of integrated ground handling and in-flight catering services, where it handles some 500 flight movements per day. SATS needs to schedule a challenging total of 8.000 personnel for long-term planning and 4.000 for daily deployment. To manage this complex task, SATS uses UFIS Airport Solutions' Universal Flight Information System (UFISŪ).
Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok
When Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport went into operation in September 2006, it became one of the most highly integrated airports in the world. At the heart of the operational integration is the Airport Operational Database from UFIS Airport Solutions (UFIS-AS). As part of the Airport Information Management System, the AODB together with the information broker provides the integration platform for more than 50 systems at the airport.
